And here it is, in its full glory!
The first rendering of Voyager, the in-house game engine we are developing at SojournAway.
So far the development has focused on the backbone of the engine:
The CMake build generation system
Logging and Configuration setting
Memory allocation system
Platform abstraction layers for the native window system and rendering
Voyager is built as a static library that provides the entry point for user applications. The current build is developed on Linux, with native Wayland window, and Vulkan based rendering. Our next steps are to continue the backbone development, with native input handling and logical devices, and to add support along the way for other backends (X11, OpenGL).
Till next triangle!
